92nd Street is an acoustic duo featuring Hugh Colocott and Doug Hill. Both Hugh and Doug are accomplished singers, guitar players, and writers. You can hear many of their original songs played on TV and in Film. They have played all over New York,  New Jersey, and Pennsylvania (CBGB’s, Bitter End, Puck Live, Steel City Coffee House & Brewery, Chaplin’s Music Cafe, World Cafe Live and The Cutting Room to name a few). 

Because of their 20 year friendship, Hugh and Doug have an obvious camaraderie; an unspoken musical connection that is clear from the very first song. Whether in a small club, theater, outdoor festival, or private party in a living room or backyard, 92nd Street shows are full of humor and spontaneity, making every show unique.

Always exploring and tweaking, their live show is constantly evolving – becoming a musical collaboration between themselves and the audience. And with each song sung the audience is drawn in more and more – making them realize they are a part of something special.

Their first CD, 92nd Street No 1. was met with great success, some airplay on WXPN (philly), lots of gigs and tons of new fans.

Their second CD, "Motel from Hell" features 11 diverse, yet distinctively catchy songs that show the band's eclectic styles and growth as songwriters and producers -- the title is an homage to the dive motel where they meet and rehearse in (EXIT 8 on the NJ Turnpike)! It's smack in the middle of where they both live (NY and PA) -- and, all the songs on the new record were practiced and fine-tuned in this hygiene challenged motel. (see GALLERY for images)
